Netmaps, SA was founded in March 2000 by a group of geographers with a background in publishing. The company idea was to combine a digital product, maps, with a fast mode of transportation, the Internet.

This concept enables us to drastically reduce our transportation cost and to deliver our maps all over the world. Netmaps has seen continuous growth throughout the past five years. It has become one of the leading companies in the European market with 100% independent shareholders.

The Netmaps headquarters are located in a company-owned, 800 sq, 4 story building near Barcelona. Since its foundation the company has been exhibited at the most important international fairs as Frankfurt Buchmesse, London Book Fair, Liber (Madrid and Barcelona), Fil Guadalajara (Mexico), Fira do Libro, Salon du Livre (Paris), Book Expo America (Chicago and New York), or Meeting Point Barcelona.
